Bali Private Driver Planned Ubud Rafting & Mt Batur for Kids
When a family from France asked me to organize their Bali trip, they didn’t simply need a private car and driver.
Mr. and Ms. Sun were traveling with their two children, Liam, 14, and Ethan, 12.
They wanted an active day in Bali combining Ubud rafting and Mount Batur, but they also wanted the activities to be comfortable for their children and enough time to relax afterward.
As their Bali private driver and local trip organizer, I helped plan the itinerary, arrange the rafting activity, choose a suitable private car, and organize the route around their family’s preferences.
For a family of four, I arranged an Innova Reborn because they wanted a clean, comfortable, and spacious private car for the day.
Their Personalized Ubud Rafting & Mount Batur Itinerary
10:00 AM: Private Driver Pickup in Mas, Ubud
I picked up the family from their hotel in Mas, Ubud.
Their hotel did not include breakfast, so rather than rushing them to an early activity, I arranged the morning so they could have breakfast after arriving at the rafting location.
This gave the family more flexibility.
11:00 AM: Arrive at Surya Bintang Adventure
We arrived at Surya Bintang Adventure at around 11:00 AM.
The family had breakfast at the restaurant before starting their rafting experience.
They could order what they wanted because they preferred having the freedom to choose their own breakfast.
I recommended this rafting operator because the family was not looking for the cheapest rafting package.
They wanted a place with:
- Clean facilities
- Friendly staff
- Experienced guides
- Good service
- A comfortable environment for a family with children
Surya Bintang also has a restaurant and bar where guests can relax and enjoy live music after the activity.
11:45 AM: Ubud Rafting for Kids 12 & 14
The rafting started at around 11:45 AM.
Before the activity, Ms. Sun specifically asked me to make sure the rafting experience was appropriate for Liam, 14, and Ethan, 12.
She did not want an unnecessarily extreme experience or intentional raft flipping.
I communicated this preference to the rafting team and requested a guide who could manage the river section according to the family’s comfort level.
The goal was for the children to enjoy the adventure while their parents could feel comfortable with the experience.
This is an important part of personalized trip planning.
The same rafting activity can feel very different depending on whether you are traveling with adults, teenagers, or younger children.
02:00 PM: Continue to Mount Batur
After rafting, the family had time to clean up, relax, and enjoy the facilities at Surya Bintang.
We then continued toward Kintamani and the Mount Batur area.
The drive took approximately one hour.
Rather than adding several more attractions, I planned a slower afternoon because the family had already spent the morning doing an active adventure.
03:00 PM: Akasa Cafe & Restaurant, Mount Batur
We arrived at Akasa Cafe & Restaurant at around 3:00 PM.
This was the relaxing part of their personalized itinerary.
The family wanted to spend time at an aesthetic cafe with a view of Mount Batur and Lake Batur.
Akasa provided exactly the atmosphere they were looking for.
They could enjoy food, drinks, the scenery, and family photos from the cafe’s Instagram-friendly seating areas, including nest-style spaces.
Instead of rushing to another attraction, we gave them around two hours to relax and enjoy the view.
05:00 PM: Return to Ubud
At around 5:00 PM, we started the journey back to their hotel.
06:00 PM: Arrive at the Hotel
They arrived back at their hotel in Ubud at approximately 6:00 PM.
The day was finished without adding another activity.
The family had experienced an active rafting adventure in the morning and a relaxed Mount Batur afternoon afterward.
Why I Planned Their Ubud Itinerary This Way
This was not simply a standard Ubud rafting tour.
The family had two children aged 12 and 14, so I considered their ages and their parents’ preferences when organizing the day.
1. Choosing the Right Private Car
For four people, I arranged an Innova Reborn. Here you can check about Toyota Reborn & Bali Private Driver, Click here! www.booktripbali.com
It provided more space and comfort than a smaller car, especially after an active rafting experience.
2. Choosing the Right Rafting Experience
Ms. Sun wanted her children to enjoy rafting without making the experience unnecessarily extreme.
So I communicated their preference to the rafting operator before the activity.
3. Flexible Breakfast
Because breakfast was not included at their hotel, we didn’t force an early departure just to fit a fixed schedule.
Breakfast was arranged at the rafting location instead.
4. Balancing Adventure With Relaxation
After rafting, I didn’t add another physically demanding activity.
Instead, I planned a relaxed afternoon at Mount Batur.
The family could enjoy the view, food, drinks, and time together at Akasa Cafe.
5. Planning the Route Around the Family
The itinerary was designed as:
Ubud → Rafting → Kintamani/Mount Batur → Ubud
This kept the day logical while combining the family’s two main interests without making the itinerary unnecessarily complicated.
This Is What Personalized Bali Private Driver Service Means
A private driver can simply take you from one destination to another.
But for a personalized Bali private driver trip, I believe the service should go further.
You can tell me:
- Your children’s ages
- What activities you want to experience
- What activities you want to avoid
- Your preferred pace
- Your hotel location
- The type of car you prefer
- How much time you want to spend relaxing
Then I can help organize the itinerary around your family.
For this French family, that meant finding the right combination of Ubud rafting, a comfortable Innova Reborn, a family-friendly activity approach, and a relaxed Mount Batur cafe experience.
