Bali Family Tour with Private Driver for Seniors

When Ms. Ola from Poland traveled to Bali with her aunt, Ms. Eliz, who was around 71 years old, they wanted to explore Ubud, temples, nature, Mount Batur, and Bali’s famous experiences.

But they didn’t want a tiring itinerary with too much walking.

So instead of giving them a fixed tour package, we created a personalized Bali private driver itinerary based on their interests, walking ability, rest time, and preferred activities.

Here is how we arranged their trip.

Day 1 : Wanagiri, Ulun Danu & Jatiluwih

09:00 AM — Depart from Ubud

Start the day from their hotel in Ubud with our selected private driver.

10:45 AM — Noord Restaurant, Wanagiri

Relax, enjoy coffee or lunch, and see the panoramic view of Wanagiri, Munduk, and the Lovina coastline.

12:30 PM — Depart for Ulun Danu Beratan

Only around 20 minutes from Noord Restaurant.

01:00 PM — Ulun Danu Beratan Temple

Enjoy the cool mountain air and walk around the famous floating temple beside Lake Beratan at a relaxed pace.

02:00 PM — Depart for Jatiluwih

Approximately 1 hour by car.

03:00 PM — Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

Enjoy a short and easy walk through the rice terraces, followed by a coffee break at Gong Restaurant.

04:30 PM — Arrive back in Ubud

End the day and rest at the hotel.

Day 2 : Free & Rest Day

No tour was scheduled.

They had a full day to relax at their hotel and recover before the next early-morning experience.

We intentionally included this rest day because a personalized family itinerary should not be about filling every hour with activities.

Day 3 : Mount Batur Sunrise Jeep & Ubud

03:00 AM — Depart from Ubud

Early departure for Mount Batur.

04:00 AM — Meet the Mount Batur Jeep Driver

Meet at Akasa Cafe & Restaurant, approximately 1 hour from Ubud.

04:00–08:00 AM — Mount Batur Sunrise Jeep

Experience Mount Batur sunrise, Black Lava, and Black Sand without doing a demanding mountain trek.

08:00 AM — Breakfast & Coffee Break

Return to Akasa Cafe and enjoy breakfast before continuing.

09:00 AM — Ubud Art Market

Shopping and exploring around Ubud.

11:00 AM — Return to Hotel

Back to the hotel for rest.

The remainder of the day was kept free.

Day 4 : Bali Swing, Coffee & Tirta Empul

09:00 AM — Depart from Ubud

Start the final touring day.

09:30 AM — Aloha Bali Swing

Ms. Ola booked the full Bali Swing package.

Ms. Eliz preferred not to swing, so she enjoyed the photo areas such as the nest and koi pond instead.

10:30 AM — Depart for Bali Pulina

Approximately 30 minutes.

11:00 AM — Bali Coffee Plantation

Learn about Bali coffee, Arabica, Robusta, spices, and the process behind Kopi Luwak.

11:30 AM — Depart for Tirta Empul

Approximately 25 minutes.

12:00–02:00 PM — Tirta Empul Temple

Explore the temple and experience the traditional Balinese purification ritual.

02:00 PM — End of Tour & Hotel Transfer

Return to the hotel, then continue their transfer from Ubud to Ayodya Hotel in Nusa Dua.

The transfer took around 2 hours due to Bali traffic.

Why We Designed Their Trip This Way

This wasn’t a standard Bali tour itinerary.

Ms. Ola and Ms. Eliz wanted to see many different sides of Bali, but because Ms. Eliz was around 71 years old, we needed to consider comfort and walking distance.

So we built the itinerary around:

Comfortable walking
Enough time at each destination
Rest days between activities
Shorter walking experiences
Different activities for different family members
Realistic driving routes
Flexible private transportation

For example, at Bali Swing, Ms. Ola could enjoy the swing while Ms. Eliz chose the photo areas instead.

At Jatiluwih, they requested a short and easy walk rather than a long trekking route.

And instead of scheduling activities every day, we intentionally gave them a full rest day.
