Day 1 is a full day trip from Kuta to Nusa Penida by fast boat, with three snorkeling spots and the island’s best-known west coast viewpoints, and you are back at your hotel by about 5:45 PM.

How to plan a trip to Bali around this itinerary
You can keep one hotel in Kuta for all three days and still see Nusa Penida and Ubud, because every day starts and ends at your hotel.
- Nusa Penida is a same-day trip. You leave Kuta at 6:45 AM, take the fast boat from Sanur, and are back at the hotel around 5:45 PM.
- Ubud takes road time. The drive from Kuta to Ubud took about 1.5 hours in the morning, and the return after 5:30 PM took about 2 hours.
- Budget beyond the tour. Add your hotel, flights and lunch on Day 3 to the Rp4,175,000 per person.
- Make it longer or lighter. Swap activities or add stops such as a coffee plantation or waterfall to fit your pace.
